The SV Group had the vision of digital planning and ordering processes integrated with existing systems such as menu planning. With Sensational’s technology platform and data connector, this vision became a reality.
The challenge
The SV Group has several hundred branches and has a large number of different food and non-food suppliers depending on the region.
In the branches, orders were placed directly via the suppliers’ individual web shops. Typically, these were 10 different shops and other ordering channels per branch.
With the introduction of central menu planning, the need for a central ordering portal with all integrated suppliers was also recognized.

The solution
The SV order portal is directly connected to the ERP systems of the SV suppliers in order to call up daily availability and prices as well as data such as nutritional values. The SV companies order from all suppliers via a digital purchasing portal. Inventory is also possible with the software.
Due to the direct connection to the recipe and menu planning system from SV (Odoo), order suggestions are calculated in real time, which products can be ordered and delivered on which delivery days.
The results
The SV companies were able to reduce order and planning times by 40%. In addition, wrong orders could be reduced by 60%. All order data can be viewed from the head office at any time.
After the introduction in the Swiss companies, the solution was rolled out to the branches in Germany and Austria.

The challenge
The SV Group is a company that, due to its size and volume, relies on regular deliveries of high-quality food and non-food products.
These were ordered directly by the branches via the individual web shops of the individual suppliers, which could mean up to 10 or more logins per branch.

The solution
Sensational was responsible for the direct connection of all ERP systems of the SV suppliers. Sensational’s web shop solution is used as the consolidated front end. It also integrates the proven scanning and inventory tools, which can be used directly across all suppliers.
In addition, the innovative connection with the recipe and menu planning system from SV (Odoo) calculates in real time which products are ordered and delivered on which delivery days.
The results
In the first 6 months, 15 suppliers were connected in a test phase.
This reduced ordering and planning time for all branches of the SV Group by 40%. In addition, 60% fewer incorrect orders were reported.
The customer is satisfied and extends the solution from Switzerland to Germany and Austria.
